I'm dealing with losses almost everyday. Missing pencils on one day, missing water bottle the next. To date, he has forgotten to bring home pencils (some days, he can lose all his pencils), pencil case, story book, water bottle, pocket money and breakfast snack. Today, he came home without his wallet. He has LOTS of excuses for all the missing items. So and so took this, I left it ( breakfast snack) on table unattended etc. The worst excuse is 'I don't know!' He did manage to get back his things most of the time the next day but I'm just upset that he is so irresponsible with his own belongings. He is not bothered by it at all. I was checking his pencil case just now. Two broken rulers.
He initially blamed it on his friend. After much interrogation, he admitted he was the culprit. No reason for the act. Arrrrrgh.
He went to the bookshop to buy a pencil and spent the whole afternoon playing with it. The teacher at his student care actually confiscated it and passed it to me when I fetch him.
I am tempted not to give him money since I pack him breakfast. Reason? He doesn't take care. His worst buy? Mineral water as he likes the bottle.
Oh... Totally speechless. Sigh.
